Battery Warnings

This device contains an internal, non-user-replaceable lithium-ion battery. Failure to follow these guidelines may shorten battery lifespan or present a risk of fire, chemical burns, electrolyte leaks, property damage, and severe injury.

• Do Not Alter: Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture, or mechanically damage the device or battery.
• Do Not Force Open: Do not attempt to remove or force open the non-user-replaceable battery.
• Extreme Heat Exposure: Do not expose the device or battery to fire, explosions, open flames, or other high-heat sources.
• Charging Safety: Only use power cables, data cables, and power adapters approved or supplied by myFirst. Using unapproved third-party charging accessories poses a severe risk of short-circuiting, overheating, and fire.
• Thermal Escalation: If the device or charging cable continually heats up or feels unusually hot to the touch, disconnect it from the power source immediately and contact customer service promptly.

Ambient Operating & Storage Conditions

• Vehicle Heat Traps: Do not leave the device exposed to intense heat sources or in high-temperature locations, such as inside an unattended vehicle parked in direct sunlight. To prevent permanent damage or battery failure, remove the device from the vehicle or store it out of direct sunlight (e.g., in the glove compartment).
• Temperature Thresholds: Do not operate or store the device outside of the specific temperature ranges defined in the printed user manual.

Device Handling & Safety

• Safe Attachment: Ensure any included neck straps or lanyards are used under adult supervision to prevent accidental snagging or injury during active play. Discontinue use if any part of the device or casing cracks or breaks.

Waterproof Casing Requirements & Limitations

• Mandatory Casing Usage: The myFirst Camera 2 is not inherently waterproof. To achieve water resistance, the camera must always be used together with its designated waterproof casing. Operating the camera in or near water without the casing will result in immediate, irreversible water damage and void the warranty.
• Depth and Time Thresholds: When properly sealed inside the waterproof casing, the camera can withstand submersion up to a maximum depth of 10ft (3m) for a cumulative duration of up to 180 minutes. Do not exceed these limits.
• Pre-Use Leak Test: Parents and guardians are strongly recommended to test the empty waterproof casing in shallow water before placing the camera inside. Submerge the sealed, empty case for a few minutes to ensure the seals are completely intact.
• Support Protocol: If you observe any water leaking inside the casing during testing or normal use, remove it from the water immediately, do not insert the camera, and contact customer support for assistance.
• Seal Integrity Care: Before sealing the case, ensure the rubber gaskets are clean, dry, and completely free of sand, hair, or debris. Exposure to soaps, chemical detergents, and salted pool water can degrade the seals over time. Always rinse the outside of the casing with fresh water after use in salt water or pools.

Proper Disposal & Compliance

• Environmental Regulations: Do not dispose of this device or its lithium-ion battery in standard household waste. Contact your local waste disposal department or electronic recycling facility to dispose of the device and battery in accordance with applicable local laws and environmental regulations.
