Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the W1 and W2?
The mic. The W1 has a built-in mic for everyday use — music, casual calls, online class. The W2 has a rotatable boom mic that positions right at the mouth for noticeably clearer voice pickup. If clear communication is the priority, W2.
Does the W2 need charging?
Nope. It’s wired, so just plug it in and it’s ready to go.
Can the boom mic be turned off?
It can be flipped up when not in use. For active muting, use the mute function in your calling app.
Is the 85dB limit a hard cap?
Yes. Hardware-enforced — the volume cannot go above 85dB regardless of device settings, in compliance with EN50332-2 (a European technical standard used to measure maximum sound pressure levels and output safety for personal audio players and headphones).
What age is this suitable for?
The myFirst CareBuds Link W2 are designed for children aged 3 and up.
